The 10-40 Window
10/40 Window
The goal of WORD FOR THE WORLD is to reach the masses of people that have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is mission radio at its best. We never ask for money on our broadcasts but are supported by the friends of WORD FOR THE WORLD and churches THAT HAVE PUT US ON THEIR mission BUDGET.
OUR MAIN GOAL IS TO SATURATE THE 10/40 WINDOW WITH THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
This WINDOW is a part of the world that remains unreached. It is a rectangular area that extends from the 10th latitude north of the equator to the 40th latitude north, and from Japan to the West Coast of Africa.
* There are 62 nations within the 10/40 Window.
* 4.1 billion of the world’s 5.6 billion people live here.
* There are more than 1.2 billion people under the influence of communism.
* It contains over 1 billion Muslims, nearly 1 billion Hindus and 600 million Buddhists.
* 97% of the un-reached people groups are located here.
* The top 50 least evangelized cities of the world are all in this window.
* Most of the 10/40 Window nations are closed to western missionaries.
* It is an area of great spiritual darkness known as the “Resistance Belt”.
* It contains over 70% of the world’s people but only 8% of the church’s missionary efforts.
* Less than 1/2 of 1% of the mission budget of churches goes to reach the 10/40 Window.
* Many in the 10/40 Window have never heard the Name of Jesus – even one time!

Comment by Phil Cohn — March 16, 2009 @ 12:47 amI found your website looking for a map of the 10/40 window. Now I see your work. I am a board member of the Jesus Film Mininstry of CCC.
I have started an outreach to hard to reach people who have moved to Amercia. Millions of Muslims and others have moved here near us. We can reach millions of other wise difficult to reach people now because they live near us. We are producing multi language Jesus Film DVDs for sharing with immigrants as gifts. We are providing them free when and where we can and for a small cost to churches who will join in outreach to immigrants.
My website Christforallpeoples.org explains what and how we are doing it. The website showing our different language groups is, http://www.inspirationalfilms.com/allnationsdvds/ Can I give you a copy of one of our DVDs?

It’s a pleasure to meet you. Somebody gave me your Email and here I am doing the same in a different way like many people. I share my blessing with the needing people in one way or another with LOVE coming from heaven.
Pride to our LORD. Whatever you do for our GOD is because He wants you to do it and I know you do it with the Love coming from HIM.

Comment by Dr Earl — March 6, 2010 @ 10:50 amPlease excuse me for not writing to you sooner. I was oblivious to the fact that people were writing to me through the web site. I would really appreciate receiving one of your DVD’s. However, I am not involved in any outreach ministries to immigrants locally except for what we do through our local missions. I do have many names and addresses of people in other countries that would really appreciate your ministry with films. Maybe we can work something out.
Joyfully in Jesus,
Earl Bailey
